Employing the ISO 9001 Standard
ISO 9001:2008 is an international standard and that is now adopted as a voluntary national standard in Botswana thus BOS ISO 9001:2008. It been developed with the object to heighten the effectiveness of operational management and ultimately increase focus on customer needs. Our consultancy work on the ISO 9001:2008 covers training (training schedule link) and implementation of business management systems that are based on BOS ISO 9001:2008 system requirements. System implementation follows four developmental phases namely; Awareness and Mobilization, Process Mapping and Documentation, System Implementation and Auditing and Certification. We have completed work with Public Procurement and Assert Disposal Board and the Kweneng District Council. Currently, we have quality management system (QMS) implementation contracts with the Department of Meteorogical Services; Aeronautical Meteorological services and Civil Aviation Authority Botswana; Aeronautical Information Services division and the Department of Health Inspectorate at the Ministry of Health.
With the advent of newly revised standard soon to be published in September 2015 all subscribers are already gearing towards aligning their management systems to the newly introduced requirements which include strategic focus, risk profiling and management, knowledge management and the re- orientation of the system framework.
